Little Mermaid Party

Little Mermaid Party

My Daughter Anna Paula wanted a Little Mermaid Under The Sea Theme for her birthday party this year. I always like to try new and different designs on my cakes.  So, for this ocassion I  made a coconut pineapple cake in diferent shades of blue (to represent the sea) decorated with fondant. My inspiration for this cake was the sea shells Anna Paula collected in our recent trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico

Some other treats I made for Anna Paula's party were chocolate covered Marshmallow, cake pops,  and chocolate covered oreo cookies.

I covered the cookies in blue chocolate and then put some fish crackers on top. Clear plastic bag, blue ribbon and thank you note. This was perfect for party favours. Everybody loved them

I always put a lot of work setting up the party decor. Everything is handmade, even the pinata. This year was challenging because Anna Paula wanted a Mermaid pinata. It was hard to build it but the result was worth it

Lots of paper in shades of blue helped me recreate the ocean atmosphere
